Aaron Ramsey Keen on Lifting FA Cup Once Again

Arsenal managed to banish memories of the painful losses against Bayern Munich in the Champions League to secure a 5-0 win over Lincoln City in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The much expected win was a major relief to the club, while most importantly, it sees them into the semifinals of the competition. As a result, Arsenal will be making the trip to Wembley in order to try and win the FA Cup once more.

Manchester United may have managed to equalise Arsenal once more at the top of the tree, but the gunners share the record of having won the competition more than any other club with the Red Devils.

Ramsey scored the final goal in the win over Lincoln. Theo Walcott opened the scoring in the first half injury time. There were a lot of nervousness around the stadium, as Arsenal were unable to find a decisive break through until then. However, this goal seemed to open the floodgates since the resistance from Lincoln was broken.

Olivier Giroud doubled their advantage in the 53rd minute before Waterfall’s own goal made sure of Arsenal’s win. Goals from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey put the icing on the cake. Arsenal will soon learn about their opponents in the semifinals of the competition, but they could face archrivals Tottenham.

“Of course [it’s a big boost]. We’re disappointed to be out of the Champions League but I love this competition.I’m delighted to be going back to Wembley and hopefully we can have something to look forward to and can get back to the final. Full credit to Lincoln. They’ve had an absolutely amazing FA Cup run. They showed that in the first half, they were difficult to break down - very well-organised - and it’s no surprise that they’re top of their league,” said Ramsey.
