Arsene Wenger Offers Shocking Revelation about Ramsey

Former Arsenal manager has come up with a shocking revelation that midfielder Aaron Ramsey to stay with the Gunners until the moment the club withdrew their offer of a new deal. Ramsey became of the finest midfielders in the world when he was groomed by Arsenal, but a major shock was in stores for Arsenal when the player decided to join Juventus on a free transfer.

After months of negotiation, Arsenal gave up hopes of keeping Ramsey at the club. Now, however, Wenger has revealed that the player wanted to stay at the Emirates stadium but the club did not show a lot of interest in keeping him.

After making the switch to Arsenal in 2008 from Cardiff when he was just a teenager, Ramsey had grown in stature during the last decade. He was able to make more than 250 league appearances for the team. Even though his career seemed to take a major blow in the first few years of his Arsenal days, Ramsey achieved stardom from the 2013-14 campaign. He was also able to help Arsenal win multiple FA Cup titles. He ended up leaving Arsenal with three FA Cup titles and two Community Shield medals. The midfielder has not been a regular for Juventus, but he has still in a state of adaptation.

“In the end I met him once, he wanted to stay at Arsenal. They had an agreement and the club came back on that, from what I understood. I tried a long time to extend his contract but sometimes you have influences of agents as well. Every case is different and you have to understand in decision makings always who is influential – or not – when you make transfers. What I know from him, he was keen to stay,” said Wenger. Ramsey has only featured in three league matches for Juventus since making the move.
