BACK WHERE IT STARTED

Aaron Ramsey will be making the return to Cardiff city to take on his former club where he started his career. He is one of the important players at Arsenal now, but it was certainly not the case in 2008 when he made the £ 5 million move to the Emirates stadium.

The leg injury that he suffered in 2010 also appeared to bring an end to his career at a very early stage. However, he has made a stunning recovery and this season he has been quite brilliant.

He has already scored 11 goals this campaign and looks set to break the records this campaign. Ramsay is currently 4/1 with Paddy Power to win PFA Player of the Year.

His goals have largely helped Arsenal make the climb up the table. They are already four points clear with just a few weeks to go before Christmas. There are a number of clubs chasing them in the table, but Arsenal appear to have become a winning machine. Arsene Wenger has stated before the match that he feels Ramsey has turned into a great player due to the various qualities. He has praised the midfielder's ability to win the ball back in various situations, while also looking to be at the forefront of everything good created by the team.

"Aaron [Ramsey] has first a fantastic engine. I believe his defensive awareness has improved, his defensive qualities have improved and his defensive score is very strong now. After that he has a huge desire to play every single ball. He wins the 50:50s - that was not the case a year ago. If you let him, he takes the ball at the back, passes to himself in midfield. That is why his presence is so massive in a game," said Wenger ahead of the Cardiff match.
In total, his presence is very important to the club according to Wenger.
