Aaron Ramsey

Rob Page had said that he is going to choose a team for competing with England but he avoided revealing if Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale would start for Wales for the World Cup final. But their defeat to Iran reduced the chances of progressing to the round of 16. Page had to defeat England at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium to reach the last 16 but they needed Iran and USA to draw the other game in Group B. Both Ramsey and Bale failed to make an impact during their loss to Iran. During their encounter with England, Page denied ruling out choosing to use the pair.

Page said that it is a big asks for anyone playing against only four days later. He also said that he is going to choose a team that is competitive against England, whether it is with our Aaron Ramsey or Gareth Bale. If they do not start, they might make an impact off the bench. No matter where they come from or where they start, everyone is going to be criticized. It is how the industry works and he says that they are big enough to take it. He knows that they have to give supporters a performance that they will be proud of.

Page said that the team has worked hard to get into the position. But his frustration for the players is that they show performance nowhere near in the World Cup. So, they have to draw a line under it and know that they have to be positive manner. He stated that he is going to choose a team who goes out and gives out everything to the cause. Bale said that they know that every team has weaknesses and there have been a lot of shocks in the World Cup.
