Aaron Ramsey says Arsenal are Confident Ahead of North London Derby

Aaron Ramsey says that Arsenal are in confident mood going into the North London derby during the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur are the visitors to the Emirates stadium, and they come in with a wretched run of form which has seen them go without a win in the last six games of all competitions. Spurs have not managed to win a game since the 2-0 victory over Manchester City at the start of October. Such a bad run of form for the opposition is likely to give a huge boost to Arsenal and this seems to be the case.

Ramsey says that the players are feeling confident going into the encounter. It is not surprising given that Arsenal have been unbeaten since the opening day 4-3 loss against Liverpool. The club are currently second in the table but only on goal difference. Even though Spurs have been going through a poor run of form, they are only three points behind Arsenal and this will always give them confidence about closing in. Arsenal have been let down by the two draws against Middlesbrough and Leicester City. This, however, will not be on their minds as they enter into the weekend.

In the past, form has not been a crucial element in the North London derby. Arsene Wenger will be keen to remind this element to his players. “This team has been together for a while now, with a couple more additions [over the summer].We’ve brought in some quality and, while it takes a bit of time sometimes for players to adapt, the new players have settled in really well. and hit the ground running. We know what we’re all about. We’ve been on a good run for a long time: at the back end of last season we finished really strongly, and we’ve carried that on this season,” said Ramsey.
