Ramsey not ready for start of the season

Aaron Ramsey has stated that he might not be ready for the start of the season.

Indeed, he has been participating with Wales at the Euros in France and with his national team having an extended run in the competition; the midfielder will require plenty of time to relax.

Arsene Wenger has a habit of giving his players 4 weeks of rest after a major tournament and at this pace; Ramsey will only have 2 weeks of training before the start of the season. He believes that he will lack match fitness to participate in the first game against Liverpool.

Ramsey said that his manager likes to give players after a major tournament as it was with the German after the World Cup in 2014. He remembers that the German players return that season only a few days before the start of the Premier League. He said that Arsene Wenger did not allow them to play in the first game back then, and he believes that it will be a similar story with him.

He said that he was satisfied with his performance at the Euros in France. It was his personal objective to go at the tournament and have a stand-out performance for Wales especially after having missed a big chunk of the domestic season. He added that he was pleased with the way his national team played and hoped that they would keep doing that on a regular basis.

He has big ambitions for next season and believes that he can bring his Wales form to the Premier League. For him Arsenal has a big chance next season to win the title and that they need to believe in themselves if they want to achieve something big. At the moment he wants to have some rest in order to replenish himself.
